Stamped Concrete Sealing
What is Stamped Concrete?
Stamped concrete is a type of decorative concrete that beautifies driveways, patios, and backyards. Its construction can be quite expensive and requires regular maintenance, without which unsightly chips and cracks can occur.
Why Seal Your Stamped Concrete?
Without sealing, stamped concrete attracts water and moisture easily and this can cause problems for this sensitive pavement, especially in winter time; during winter days snow melts and the moisture is absorbed into the concrete and at night time when temperatures fall this water then freezes and expands, causing cracks and chips which cause permanent damage to the concrete.
Chips and cracks in stamped concrete cannot be repaired to the original beauty of the project, and will result in a sub-optimal and worn look; therefore, the most prudent course of action is regular preventive maintenance.

Our Stamped Concrete Sealing Process
For stamped concrete, we carefully power-wash and clean the surface at a superior pressure of up to 4,200 PSI, wait for the surface to dry and apply solvent-based, commercial-grade sealant in two successive coats.
We also have an additional option of an anti-slip sealant application, which is diluted into the sealing solvent and provides better surface grip for the concrete surface.
We only use a high-quality commercial-grade sealer solvent base to ensure a perfect seal every time.
A few hours after the sealant is applied, the surface is viable for pedestrian (walking) traffic, and after 24 hours the surface is viable for vehicle traffic.
The residence that is having the sealing treatment done on their property will typically apply for a parking permit from municipal authorities to park their vehicles at the curb overnight, if necessary.

How Often is it Necessary to Seal My Stamped Concrete?
It’s recommended to seal stamped concrete annually or bi-annually to properly maintain its appearance and prevent damage.
While other contractors do offer to fill cracks and chips in stamped concrete surfaces, it is not the most elegant or appropriate solution in comparison to sealing services, and does not lead to the most visually pleasing results.
With a proactive, preventive approach the beauty of your property is maintained with regular professional sealing.
